Why this site exists?

This website starts, in first place, from the nostalgia of the old web. That web that existed when I was younger and I was creating some websites in plain old HTML and CSS (and full of animated gifs probably). Some time ago, I came across the concept of the Indie web which reminded of those times and showed me that it still exists out there and it only depends on us to keep it alive.

It is also my personal attempt to resist and escape the attention economy that we live in nowadays. Big online platform that domains the space remove all diversity and authenticity that makes the web great. So I rather put some time modifying this web, or reading other people’s blogs, than doomscrolling on social media apps.

I hope that it will evolve and grow with time, but it might not. We will see where it gets and, hopefully, it will remain online for a long time.
